Robbins, Silas W.
         
         
         
         b. 1785, in Connecticut; d. 1870, in Springfield, Illinois. In 1825, Robbins moved from Massachusetts to Kentucky, where he
            practiced law and served as a judge. In 1841, he left Kentucky and
            came to Springfield, Illinois, and continued the practice of law. In 1852, he retired from the law and moved to a farm outside
            of
            Springfield.
